Data Retention Policy
Effective date: 1 June 2026 · In accordance with Zimbabwe's Cyber and Data Protection Act (Chapter 12:07)
OneMusondosi only retains personal data for as long as it is necessary to provide the service or comply with legal obligations. This policy outlines how long we keep different types of data and what happens when data is deleted or anonymised.
1. Retention Schedule

2. Inactive Account Anonymisation
Accounts that meet ALL of the following conditions are automatically anonymised on the 1st of each month:
- No login or activity for 24 consecutive months
- Zero Views balance
- No active property listings
- No open bids or pending transactions
Anonymisation replaces the user's name and phone number with non-identifiable placeholders. The account record itself is retained (for audit trail purposes) but contains no personally identifiable information after anonymisation.
3. Account Deletion Requests
You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting support@musondosi.online. Upon verified request:
- Your name and phone number will be anonymised immediately
- Your Views balance will be forfeited (no refund)
- Transaction records will be retained for 5 years in anonymised form (legal obligation)
- Safety reports you filed will be retained in anonymised form for 36 months
Requests are processed within 7 business days.
4. Data Minimisation
We follow the principle of data minimisation. We only collect data that is necessary for the platform to function. We do not collect:
- Location data (beyond the suburb/zone you voluntarily provide)
- Device fingerprints or browser tracking
- Social media profiles
- Sensitive personal data (ethnicity, religion, political views)
5. Security During Retention
All retained data is stored on encrypted servers within secure cloud infrastructure. Access is restricted to authorised OneMusondosi personnel on a need-to-know basis. All access is logged. Backups are encrypted and retained for 30 days.
6. Legal Basis for Retention
Financial and transaction records are retained for 5 years in compliance with Zimbabwe's Finance Act and CDPA obligations. Safety reports are retained for 36 months to support potential legal proceedings. All other retention periods are based on legitimate business need and user consent.
